The Journalism Union of Uzbekistan has established 35 "Schools of Excellence".

On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the country's independence, the Uzbekistan Journalists' Union organized a "School of Excellence" featuring 35 renowned journalists across the regions of the republic.

 

The initiative was launched with the aim of implementing the priority tasks outlined in the Union's Charter. It envisions promoting the experience of journalists who have created their own unique creative schools, supporting the "Master-Apprentice" traditions, and conducting systematic work with young journalists.

 

20 of the 35 "Schools of Excellence" are coordinated by the Union's regional branches, while 15 operate under the central apparatus of the Union in Tashkent.

 

Sessions in Tashkent will be held at the National Press Center of Uzbekistan, the Content Center, and editorial offices. Necessary conditions will be provided for this purpose. Measures will also be taken to encourage the creative professionals leading the "Schools of Excellence."

 

Lessons will be conducted in areas such as internet journalism, print media, television, radio, legal journalism, sports journalism, and photojournalism.

 

Students pursuing journalism studies and young people interested in the field will be involved in the "Schools of Excellence." At the end of the sessions, participants will be awarded certificates.

 

According to the Union, this initiative is an integral part of the systematic efforts launched to train a new generation of journalists. In the future, practical work in this direction will be consistently continued through various competitions and projects.
