17-year-old student caught with hashish: shipment sent from Russia
Narcotic drugs had been hidden in a tin can.
A 17-year-old school student receiving a parcel sent from Russia was detained with 852.2 grams of hashish in the city of Chirchiq, Tashkent region.
The Customs Committee's Department for Combating Smuggling, in cooperation with the operational units of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, conducted an operational operation called "controlled delivery under international control."
During the operation, a minor born in 2009 was detained while receiving a parcel sent from Russia.
When the parcel was inspected in the presence of witnesses, it was found that 852.2 grams of hashish were hidden inside four tin cans.
Also, when the teenager's residence was searched, electronic scales, "zip" packets intended for packaging narcotic substances, and insulating tapes were found. They were seized as material evidence.
According to the Customs Committee, the discovered 852.2 grams of hashish amounts to an average of more than 60,000 doses. Its value on the black market was estimated at nearly 600,000 dollars.
A criminal case has been initiated by the Customs Committee regarding the incident. Currently, pre-investigation and investigative actions are being carried out.
