Iran's attacks will not go unanswered — Qatar
Qatar's air defense systems shot down two Iranian fighter jets, and stated that it is ready to defend the country's sovereignty.

According to the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iran's recent attacks have threatened the country's sovereignty and crossed all "red lines." The attacks targeted not only military installations but also Doha Airport, gas facilities, and other critical infrastructure. This was reported by Euronews.
Qatar successfully destroyed two Iranian fighter jets that entered its airspace on Monday. Majed al-Ansari, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, described this action as "a blatant attack on sovereignty and a threat to the security of our people." He also emphasized that Qatar is prepared to confront and retaliate against any attack.
"The red lines have already been crossed. Therefore, we have taken all measures and have reserved the right to respond," said al-Ansari.
According to his words, Doha is currently focused on protecting its people and the representatives of 140 nations residing in Qatar.
The spokesperson also stated that there are currently no open diplomatic relations with Iran. Iran targeted not only US military facilities but also Qatari infrastructure and residential areas. Majed al-Ansari assessed this as a threat to international law and regional stability.
"No attack will or can go unanswered. Possible retaliatory measures remain at the discretion of our leadership," he said. He also stressed that Iran's attacks on Qatar's liquefied natural gas plants have led to their temporary closure, and this situation poses a serious risk to the international economy.
Currently, Qatar's airspace is closed, and over 8,000 transit passengers have been temporarily accommodated within the country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and defense systems are continuously focused on ensuring their safety.
