A criminal case has been initiated against market officials in Qarshi and Bukhara.
In exchange for illegally formalizing commercial premises in the market area, they demanded between 11,000 and 80,000 dollars.

During rapid measures carried out by employees of the State Security Service and other law enforcement agencies, corruption cases occurring in farmers' markets were exposed. Investigations revealed that some officials were engaged in illegally selling trade points, which should have been sold through auction, to citizens for personal material gain. The SSS reported this to Zamon.uz.
In particular, the chairman and supervisor of a farmers' market operating in the city of Qarshi colluded and demanded 80 thousand US dollars from a citizen in exchange for officially registering a newly built 110-square-meter retail store on the market territory in the name of a citizen planning to engage in entrepreneurship. They were caught red-handed with material evidence while receiving an advance payment of 30 thousand US dollars.
Regarding this case, a criminal case has been initiated against the suspects under Article 168, Part 4, paragraph "a" and Articles 28, 211, Part 3, paragraph "a" of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being carried out.
Furthermore, in another case, a similar violation of the law was identified in a market in Bukhara city where wholesale trade of agricultural products is conducted. The market manager and an executive colluded, and their illegal actions were stopped while they were receiving 11 thousand US dollars from a citizen in exchange for allocating a 120-square-meter land plot on the market territory for constructing a lightweight retail store and engaging in entrepreneurial activity.
Regarding this case as well, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 168, Part 3, paragraphs "a, v" of the Criminal Code, and currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
