As of today, 4,948 passengers have been brought to Uzbekistan from Medina and Jeddah airports via 21 flights, and 235 passengers from Dubai.

Over 5,000 Uzbek citizens have been repatriated from the Middle East.

More than five thousand citizens of Uzbekistan have been repatriated following the escalation of tensions in the Middle East region. This was reported by the information service of the Ministry of Transport.

Due to the ongoing military conflict in the region, the airspaces of Bahrain, Kuwait, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, Israel, Jordan, the UAE, and Lebanon have been closed for flights for various periods.

According to information, starting from February 28, all flights from cities in Uzbekistan to destinations such as Dubai, Sharjah, Medina, Doha, Jeddah, Tel Aviv, Tehran, and Kuwait have been canceled. As a result, from February 28 to March 2, a total of 1,681 citizens of Uzbekistan were unable to return to their homeland from Kuwait, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE.

On the instruction of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Ministry of Transport developed specific plans with resident and foreign airlines. To coordinate the work, a special 24/7 operational headquarters was established at the "Uzaviation" agency. Taking into account the closure of airspace in a number of countries, the changing situation, and the results of negotiations with foreign aviation authorities, strict requirements were set for airlines regarding the implementation of flights.

Currently, resident and non-resident airlines are operating flights to return passengers who departed by February 28, 2026, to Uzbekistan. As of today, 21 flights have brought 4,948 passengers from Medina and Jeddah airports and 235 passengers from Dubai to Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Transport recommends that passengers obtain information about flights only through the official offices of airlines and the telephone numbers listed on their websites.

Furthermore, the ministry's message warned citizens that contacting unverified intermediaries could lead to financial and other risks.

To assist passengers, the call center of the "Uzaviation" agency operates 24/7: +998 (78) 120-00-72, +998 (71) 200-07-65.
