The road collapsed in Tashkent.

The Tashkent City Administration today commented on the partial collapse of a retaining wall in the tunnel road near the intersection of Temur Malik and Buyuk Ipak Yo'li streets.

According to preliminary information, no casualties have been reported. Emergency services, technical specialists, and representatives of the responsible organizations have been promptly dispatched to the scene. The area where the incident occurred has been cordoned off, and necessary safety measures have been enhanced.

The administration stated that a comprehensive technical inspection is currently underway and that it is still too early to draw definitive conclusions until the inspection is completed.

Among the initial assumptions being considered are factors such as the impact of recent heavy rainfall, including excessive soil moisture and increased load on the structure.

At the same time, all relevant circumstances are being investigated, including design solutions, the quality of construction and installation works, the condition of the drainage system, construction supervision, and the procedure for accepting the facility.

"Decisions regarding restoration work will be made based on the results of the technical inspection. If violations or failure to perform work to the required standard are identified, measures will be taken to hold the responsible persons accountable in accordance with established procedure," the administration's message states.
