The issue of the bridge in Sergeli was criticized for only being addressed after it spread on social media.
Also, in Tashkent city, more than half of the 170,000 appeals, and in Tashkent region, more than half of the 110,000 appeals have not found a solution. Repeated appeals have increased in Surkhandarya, Samarkand, and Tashkent city.

At the videoconference meeting chaired by the President, shortcomings in handling citizens' appeals were discussed.
It was reported that in Tashkent city, more than half of 170 thousand appeals, and in Tashkent region, more than half of 110 thousand appeals, have not found a resolution. Repeated appeals have increased in Surkhandarya, Samarkand, and Tashkent city.
Furthermore, the meeting highlighted a case where a citizen appealed in January, reporting that a school student had fallen into the Junariq canal flowing through Sergeli. However, it was criticized that for two months, no responsible official paid attention to this appeal, providing only a superficial response.
It was noted that funds were allocated and construction work was carried out to repair the bridge only after the situation had spread widely on social networks.
Additionally, such cases were assessed as serious shortcomings in the system for handling citizens' appeals, and it was emphasized that an indifferent attitude towards appeals negatively impacts citizens' trust in state institutions.
