Emomali Rahmon arrives in Uzbekistan on an official state visit.
High-level negotiations are planned to be held during the visit.
At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will be on a state visit to Uzbekistan on March 26-27.
Within the framework of the visit, high-level talks will be held, as well as the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council under the chairmanship of the leaders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The agenda of the upcoming events includes issues of further strengthening the relations of friendship and good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Special attention will be paid to strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade-economic and interregional cooperation, developing industrial cooperation and transport interconnectivity, ensuring water and energy security, and continuing large-scale cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The heads of state will exchange views on current issues of international and regional importance, as well as on cooperation within multilateral formats.
It is also planned to launch a number of new joint projects and sign a substantial package of bilateral documents aimed at further developing multifaceted cooperation.
