A video spread on social networks showing a man, who was said to be the son of a wealthy person, in a drunken state beating and knocking another person unconscious in one of the cafes in Samarkand city, Samarkand region. The regional DIA information service provided information regarding the incident.

 

According to the report, on March 29 at around 7:00 AM, a mutual dispute arose between citizen Z.U., who was having breakfast with his acquaintance D.R. in one of the cafes located in Samarkand city, and citizen SH.T., who was also present there.

 

As a result of this conflict, SH.T., together with his acquaintances T.Kh. and I.Kh., beat Z.U. and D.R., causing them bodily injuries.

 

Regarding this incident, the Investigation Department of the Samarkand City DIA initiated a criminal case under Part 3, paragraph "g" of Article 277 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the suspects were detained in accordance with procedural order.

 

Preliminary investigative actions are currently being carried out.
