It was previously announced that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed as a result of attacks launched by the US and Israel on February 28, along with his close family members—his daughter-in-law, daughter, and grandson.
Following this, it was reported that Mujtaba Khamenei assumed his father's position and became Iran's new Supreme Leader. Some sources noted that he was also injured during the airstrikes and was taken to Russia.
According to a source for Kuwait's Al Jarida publication, after being delivered to Moscow, Mujtaba Khamenei underwent surgery and is currently being treated at a private medical facility at one of Russian President Vladimir Putin's residences.
Sources noted that his treatment is being carried out under enhanced security measures. In particular, his location is being kept secret due to potential assassination threats.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei commented on the Supreme Leader's health, stating that his condition is stable. He emphasized that it is natural for Mujtaba Khamenei's public appearance to require some time under wartime conditions.
