The US announced how many aircraft it lost in the war against Iran.

During the ongoing military operation against Iran that has lasted over a month, the US has lost at least 7 aircraft. This was reported by CNN.

According to information, the US's initial losses occurred on March 2nd. At that time, three F-15 fighter jets were shot down over Kuwaiti territory by Kuwaiti air defense systems due to a misidentification.

In the incident, six crew members ejected and survived. Pentagon chief Pete Hegset stated that the pilots later returned to service to participate in further airstrikes against Iran.

A week and a half later, on March 12th, a KC-135 refueling aircraft crashed. The incident resulted in the deaths of six crew members.

According to US military officials, this aircraft was not downed as a result of enemy fire, but rather crashed due to a mid-air collision with another aircraft during the military operation. The second aircraft landed safely.

On March 27th, towards the end of the month, a US Air Force E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft was destroyed on the runway at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia as a result of an Iranian attack.

The CNN report stated that the attack on this airbase resulted in injuries to at least 10 American military personnel. Another refueling aircraft was also damaged in the incident.

Furthermore, last month, a US F-35 fighter jet performed an emergency landing at one of the airbases in the Middle East after reportedly being targeted by Iranian forces.

The last two aircraft lost were an F-15 and an A-10 Warthog. One was shot down, while the other managed to reach Kuwait in a damaged state.

In this incident, two pilots were rescued, while one pilot went missing.

The missing officer, a US Air Force colonel, was injured during ejection and hid in a mountain garden until help arrived. From there, he transmitted his location to a US base. After being rescued, the officer received prompt medical attention.
