In Uzbekistan, the sale of nearly 9 kg of narcotics brought from Afghanistan has been stopped.
The offenders intended to sell these narcotics in the Khorezm region.

A major illegal circulation of narcotics has been stopped in the Khorezm region. The National Guard reported on this.
It is reported that in the first case, a resident of the Qo'shko'pir district, born in 1985 and previously convicted for a crime related to drug trafficking, was stopped while moving in the territory of the Urgench district. During an inspection conducted with the participation of witnesses, 4 kg 407 grams of "opium" substance was found on him and procedurally documented.
In the second case, a "Lacetti" model car moving on the "Beruniy-Urgench" route was stopped and inspected at the "Cholish" checkpoint of the Urgench district. As a result, it was found that the car contained 4 kg 541 grams of "opium" substance belonging to a resident of the Qo'shko'pir district, born in 2002 and previously convicted for committing a drug-related crime, which was documented as material evidence.
It is emphasized that in both cases, the offenders planned to make a large profit by selling narcotics smuggled from Afghanistan in the Khorezm region.
Criminal cases have been initiated against them under Article 246, Part 2 and Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code in connection with these incidents, and the preventive measure of "detention" has been applied. Investigation is currently underway.
Officials emphasized that the active civic position of every citizen is important in the fight against drug trafficking, reminding that indifference to such vices can lead to serious consequences.
