A narcotic substance sent from Russia in the form of chocolate was detected in Khorezm.

The circulation of over 1.2 kilograms of hashish was stopped in Khorezm and Tashkent. The State Security Service reported this.

 

It was reported that during an operational event in the Khorezm region, a person born in 1997, residing in the city of Urganch, and previously convicted for a drug-related crime, was detained at Urganch International Airport while receiving a parcel sent from Russia.

 

During the inspection, it was found that there were 538 grams of hashish hidden in the form of chocolate among various sweets inside the shipment.

 

Another incident was recorded in the Yukorichirchik district of the Tashkent region. In that case, a 45-year-old citizen living in the city of Tashkent was detained while receiving 700 grams of hashish, which had been smuggled into Uzbekistan by drug couriers and pre-hidden.

 

Criminal cases have been initiated against both citizens regarding these incidents, and investigative actions are being carried out. Additionally, operational-search activities are ongoing to identify their possible accomplices.
