A father indebted for alimony was found in a spa-salon in Tashkent

In Tashkent, a father who had been evading alimony payments to his two former spouses was apprehended at a famous spa salon. The Ministry of Internal Affairs information service reported this to Zamon.uz.

According to the report, based on a court order from the Uchtepa Interdistrict Court, the debtor M.O. was obligated to pay alimony to the claimant I.A. for one child until the child reaches adulthood.

Furthermore, based on an enforcement writ from the Uchtepa Interdistrict Court, the debtor M.O. was also obligated to pay alimony to the claimant N.D. for one child.

Regarding this enforcement document, the debtor M.O. had been failing to pay alimony since February 1, 2025, and had not complied with the state enforcement officer's demands.

Consequently, when the state enforcement officer visited the debtor's registered address, he was found to be absent, and due to the inability to locate him, a formal search was declared against him.

Subsequently, it was determined that he was at a famous spa salon in Tashkent, where he was detained in cooperation with search officers.

According to the state enforcement officer's calculations, as of April 1 of the current year, the total alimony debt amounted to 19,736,306 soums. This consisted of 9,736,306 soums owed to claimant I.A. and 9,736,306 soums owed to the second claimant, N.D.

Despite being warned several times, the debtor failed to fulfill his alimony obligations. As a result, the state enforcement officer compiled the case documents based on Article 47(4) of the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and sent them to the relevant district court.

On April 8, 2026, the court reviewed the administrative case, found the debtor father M.O. guilty of the offense, and sentenced him to 15 days of administrative detention.

After this, on April 14, the alimony payments were fully paid by close relatives of the debtor M.O.
