In Uzbekistan, the amount of money sent by migrants increased by $433 million.
Additionally, during the reporting period, foreign currency funds amounting to $604 million were transferred out of the country.

In January–March 2026, the volume of remittances to Uzbekistan from abroad increased by 13 percent compared to the same period last year. This was reported in a review by the Central Bank announced here.
According to analyses, labor migrants sent funds totaling $3.8 billion to the country in the first three months of the year. This figure is $433 million higher than in the same period of 2025.
The Central Bank noted that in the first quarter, international remittances served as the main source of currency sales by the population to banks.
At the same time, during the reporting period, $604 million in foreign currency funds were transferred from Uzbekistan abroad. This is $39 million less than in the first quarter of last year.
According to data, nearly 80 percent of remittances sent to Uzbekistan come from Russia. Overall, in 2025, the volume of remittances received from abroad reached $18.9 billion, which is a 28 percent increase compared to 2024.
This growth is attributed to high demand for labor in the countries where migrants work, relative stability of wages, increased economic activity, and the strengthening of national currency exchange rates.
