Brussels accuses Moscow of Russifying Ukrainian children.
Sanctions are planned to be imposed on individuals and organizations involved in the forced relocation of Ukrainian children to Russia.

The European Union is preparing new sanctions regarding the deportation of Ukrainian children. DW reported this.
According to the publication's diplomatic sources, it is planned to approve the new restrictions at the meeting of the European Union Foreign Affairs Council, which will take place on May 12 in Brussels. The sanctions will affect individuals and entities involved in the deportation and forced transfer of Ukrainian children. Currently, the European Union has applied such sanctions to more than 100 individuals and legal entities.
According to the European Union's estimates, Russia has illegally deported or forcibly transferred more than 20,000 Ukrainian children since the start of its large-scale war against Ukraine.
Brussels accuses Moscow of attempting to Russify children, including by forcibly granting them Russian citizenship, placing them with Russian families, exerting ideological influence, and militarizing them.
