The informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States has begun in the city of Turkistan with the participation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The President's press service reported this.

At the Congress Center, the President of Uzbekistan was warmly welcomed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The heads of delegations took a joint photo.

Before the start of the meeting, the leaders participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Turkic Civilization Center.
This complex, built on the initiative of Kazakhstan, will serve to demonstrate the common roots, rich historical and cultural heritage, and unity of civilizations of the Turkic peoples. The project is aimed at expanding scientific, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation among the countries of the Turkic world, strengthening spiritual closeness, and widely promoting common values and traditions.

Afterwards, the leaders were presented with Kazakhstan's digital solutions and joint initiatives of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States in the field of IT and artificial intelligence.
