The majority of Israelis want Netanyahu to leave politics.
More than half of the population believes that Netanyahu should end his political career.

According to the results of a new poll conducted in Israel, the majority of citizens support Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not participating in the upcoming Knesset elections and leaving politics. The Jerusalem Post reported this, citing the Maariv newspaper.
According to the study published by the newspaper, 55% of respondents believe that Netanyahu should end his political career. 38% of participants approved of him running in the election while leading his Likud party. Another 7% of respondents did not express a clear opinion on this matter.
The poll results also indicated that the ruling coalition's position in parliament is weakening. According to the study, Likud and Itamar Ben-Gvir's "Otzma Yehudit" party are each losing one mandate. As a result, the ruling coalition is limited to 49 seats.
At the same time, it was noted that the opposition bloc's indicators are improving, reaching 61 mandates when calculated without Arab parties. This is considered sufficient to form a majority in the Knesset.
The poll also analyzed certain potential political alliances. In particular, it was noted that in the event of a merger between Gadi Eisenkot and former prime ministers Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, a joint list could receive 49 mandates.
The study was conducted by the Lazar Research Center in collaboration with Panel4All on May 12–13. It involved 502 Jewish and Arab citizens of Israel aged 18 and older.
