The US and Israel may launch new strikes against Iran — NYT
The US military is preparing a plan to restart Operation "Epic Anger," which was suspended after the ceasefire.

US President Donald Trump is considering the possibility of launching new military operations against Iran. NDTV World reported this, citing The New York Times.
It is reported that after Trump returned from his trip to China, the White House and Pentagon have intensified work on military options to resolve the deadlock in diplomatic negotiations. In particular, the US military is preparing a plan to revive the "Epic Fury" operation, which was halted after last month's ceasefire.
According to sources, US and Israeli forces have been conducting their largest joint preparatory exercises since the ceasefire. It is said that potential strikes could begin as early as next week.
Meanwhile, while international mediators are seeking a compromise to reopen the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, Trump has rejected Iran's latest peace proposal.
"I looked at the document. If I don't like the first sentence, I'll just throw it away," Trump told journalists aboard Air Force One while returning from Beijing.
The US President confirmed that the Iran issue was also discussed during negotiations with Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to Trump, Washington and Beijing share a common position on the matter that "Iran cannot possess nuclear weapons."
Trump also stated that Xi Jinping expressed support for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. He emphasized that Iran has conducted almost no trade through the strait over the past two and a half weeks, resulting in losses of approximately $500 million per day.
According to Reuters, the Taiwan issue was also one of the main topics in the negotiations. Xi Jinping warned Trump that tensions over Taiwan could lead to a conflict between the US and China.
