Illegal drugs worth over 2 billion soums were discovered in Fergana and Namangan regions.
The medicines have been withdrawn in accordance with the established procedure, and an expert examination has been appointed at present.

Large quantities of illegal medicines have been identified in the Fergana and Namangan regions. The State Security Service reported this.
According to the report, in order to protect public health and prevent the circulation of medicines of unguaranteed quality, employees of the State Security Service's department for the Fergana region conducted an operational measure in cooperation with customs authorities.
During the measure, a citizen born in 1987, residing in the city of Fergana, was stopped while unloading medicines into his residence from a "Gazelle" brand truck. The total value of the medicines was 778 million soums, comprising 45,960 units of 38 different types. The incident has been documented in a procedural manner.
Additionally, upon inspection of his home, it was found that 16,535 units of 25 types of medicines worth 468 million soums were being stored in violation of regulatory requirements.
A similar situation was recorded in the Namangan region. During an operational measure conducted by employees of the State Security Service's department for the Namangan region in cooperation with the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, customs authorities, and the State Institution "Pharmaceutical Product Safety Center," it was found that two citizens born in 1995 and 1993, residing in the city of Namangan, were storing medicines produced abroad and illegally brought into the country in their homes and a non-residential building in the Davlatabad district, with the intention of subsequently selling them.
During the inspection, a total of 32,528 packages of medicines of 453 different types, with an approximate value of over 1 billion soums, were seized from these three locations in accordance with established procedures.
Currently, an expert examination has been appointed regarding the medicines in both cases, and investigative work is ongoing.
