The Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan states that "military commissariats" are not being abolished.
The ministry stated that the activities of defense affairs bodies in the country are not being terminated; on the contrary, the system is being improved based on modern requirements.

Reports have spread on social networks about the phased liquidation of military affairs departments ("voenkomats") in Uzbekistan. The Ministry of Defense stated that this information has been misinterpreted and issued an official response here.
On June 8, a presentation was held for the president on certain issues in the defense sector. It reviewed proposals aimed at digitizing the activities of military affairs bodies, integrating them with the e-government system, accelerating data exchange, and improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
The presentation also discussed initiatives on digitizing military registration, medical, and conscription commission activities. In particular, it is planned to introduce a procedure for obtaining information about boys who have turned 16 and received an ID card from the information system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and automatically registering them for military service.
Additionally, it was proposed to abolish the practice of undergoing medical commissions at military affairs departments and to organize medical examinations at district and city central multi-specialty polyclinics.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the activities of military affairs bodies in the country are not being terminated; on the contrary, the system is being improved based on modern requirements. According to the ministry, the goal of introducing digital services is to reduce bureaucratic processes and unnecessary inconveniences for citizens.
