The head of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Egypt.
A number of documents aimed at expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egypt have been signed.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held negotiations in Cairo with the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Badr Abdel’Aty, as reported.
During the meeting, the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, addressed to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, were conveyed.

The parties discussed issues of developing comprehensive partnership relations and expanding multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egypt. In particular, prospects for elevating trade-economic and investment cooperation to a new level, expanding industrial cooperation, developing transport-logistics routes, and implementing joint projects were considered.

Views were also exchanged on strengthening ties in the cultural-humanitarian, educational, and religious-enlightenment spheres, as well as further developing the bonds of friendship between the peoples.

During the negotiations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Badr Abdel’Aty, it was noted that relations between the two countries are consistently developing based on mutual respect, trust, and common interests. The parties emphasized the importance of further intensifying political dialogue at the highest and high levels.
During the negotiations, prospects for expanding trade-economic and investment partnership, stimulating ties between business circles, and increasing the number of joint projects were also discussed.

Furthermore, the parties exchanged views on pressing issues on the international and regional agenda. The Uzbek side expressed its high appreciation for Egypt’s efforts in ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East and resolving conflicts through political and diplomatic means.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, a number of documents aimed at further strengthening mutual cooperation were signed. These include a Cooperation Program for 2026–2028 between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Information and Analytical Center for International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Institute of Diplomatic Studies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

It was noted that the signed documents will serve as a solid foundation for enriching the Uzbekistan-Egypt partnership with new practical content and further expanding bilateral cooperation.
