Trump condemned Israel's attack on Lebanon.
At a time when a significant agreement between the US and Iran is expected to be signed, Israel's strike on Beirut is said to have cast a shadow over diplomatic processes.

US President Donald Trump said that Israel's strike on southern Beirut could negatively impact the process of reaching a peace agreement with Iran, adding that the attack "should not have happened." Reuters reported this.
At the same time, Trump emphasized that the agreement between Washington and Tehran is almost ready.
"We are very close to an agreement that will bring peace to the region, including Lebanon. All parties must stop. There should be no further Israeli attacks in Lebanon, but there should also be no attacks against Israel by other forces like Hezbollah. This could be the beginning of a long and beautiful peace—let's not ruin this opportunity," Trump said.
Trump's statement came after Israel's strike on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. Iranian officials assessed this attack as a sign of the US's inability to fulfill its commitments and warned of retaliatory measures.
According to Reuters sources, the draft agreement being discussed between the US and Iran involves unfreezing $25 billion in frozen Iranian assets, easing some restrictions on oil exports, and reopening the Strait of Hormuz. In exchange, Tehran must commit to not developing nuclear weapons and limiting its nuclear program.
However, Tehran has indicated that it has not yet made a final decision on the document. Israel's latest military operation in Lebanon has further heightened uncertainties regarding the prospects of negotiations. Against the backdrop of war and diplomatic efforts, tensions in the region remain high.
