In Côte d'Ivoire, about 60 people have died as a result of floods.
In neighboring Ghana, 12 people have died due to floods. Officials stated that more victims may be identified as search operations continue.

At least 59 people have been killed as a result of floods and landslides caused by heavy rains that have been falling for several days in Côte d'Ivoire. Sky News reported this.
According to government spokesman Amadou Coulibaly, more victims may be identified as search and rescue operations continue.
The natural disaster was triggered by torrential rains that began on Saturday. Some of the fatalities were recorded in the Attécoubé and Yopougon districts of Abidjan, the country's economic center.
Heavy rainfall also caused widespread flooding in neighboring Ghana. At least 12 people have died as a result of floods in various parts of the country, including the capital, Accra.
On Monday, many streets and buildings in Accra and the adjacent city of Tema were flooded, making some areas inaccessible. Among the dead are a mother and her child who were swept away by floodwaters in the Achimota–Agbogbloshie district.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service, rescuers were forced to seek help from the military due to difficulties reaching flooded areas. Some neighborhoods remained partially submerged on Tuesday as well.
The Ghana National Disaster Management Organization reported on Monday morning that it had received numerous calls from residents about water entering their homes.
The country's meteorological agency warned the public that further heavy rainfall is possible throughout the week, especially in and around Accra.
