Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan expand cooperation in the tourism sector.
The parties discussed issues of increasing mutual tourist flow, establishing joint tourist routes, and expanding cooperation in the tourism sector.

A meeting was held between the Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, A. Aqqulov, and the Executive Director of the Association of Tourist Organizations of Kyrgyzstan (KATO), N. Saparov, with the participation of leading tour operators from both countries.

The meeting discussed issues of increasing mutual tourist flows, developing joint tourist routes, as well as fostering direct cooperation between tour operators, hotel establishments, and transport companies.
The parties noted that forming travel programs linking Uzbekistan's rich historical and cultural heritage and ancient cities with Kyrgyzstan's unique nature, mountain, and ecotourism opportunities would create an attractive and competitive offer for foreign tourists.
Within the framework of cooperation with KATO, views were exchanged on organizing mutual info-tours for representatives of the tourism sectors of both countries, promoting joint tourist routes "Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan" to international markets, and widely advertising them through digital platforms and mass media.

At the same time, prospects were considered for presenting the tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan under the single regional brand "Central Asia" at major international tourism exhibitions and fairs worldwide, as well as organizing joint national stands, presentations, and marketing events. This approach allows showcasing the region's rich historical heritage, cultural diversity, and natural potential as a single tourist destination to an international audience.
At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached on attracting tourists from third countries, actively promoting planned direct flights from Bishkek to Samarkand and Urgench, and systematically continuing practical cooperation between representatives of the tourism businesses of the two states.
The implementation of these initiatives will serve to expand tourist exchange between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, enrich the geography of travel, and enhance the prestige and attractiveness of Central Asia in the international tourism market.
