Protect your health and nature: The Ecology Committee has issued an important warning.
As air temperatures are expected to rise up to 48 degrees Celsius in some areas, the committee has called on citizens to protect their health, trees, and wildlife.

According to the Hydrometeorological Service Agency, from July 18 to 20, extremely hot air masses from the south will continue to enter the territory of Uzbekistan. The air temperature across the republic is expected to rise to 43–45°C, and in some areas of the southern and desert regions, up to 46–48°C. Wind speeds will increase to 13–18 m/s, and in some places up to 20–22 m/s. Dust and sandstorms may be observed in certain areas.
The National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change recommended that citizens avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during the hottest parts of the day, consume more fluids, and follow necessary precautions.
It is noted that high temperatures may also negatively impact the environment. In particular, the risk of trees and shrubs drying out, young seedlings perishing, and harm to wildlife increases.
In this regard, the committee called on responsible organizations to pay special attention to the timely watering and additional care of young seedlings, especially those planted under the nationwide project "Green Space."
Local administrations, utility services, and other responsible organizations were recommended to intensify watering of green areas, cool public spaces, ensure the uninterrupted operation of irrigation systems, and take additional measures to prevent natural fires.
"Every tree saved today, every seedling watered, and every measure taken in time is a worthy contribution to the ecological safety and sustainable future of our country," the statement reads.
