Ukraine's former ambassador to the U.S. is suspected of illicit enrichment.

Ukraine's former ambassador to the United States, Olga Stefanishyna, is suspected of illegal enrichment and failure to declare assets. This was reported by Reuters, citing Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, as reported.

According to the prosecutor's office, Stefanishyna, while holding her position from early 2024 to mid-2025, failed to declare two apartments and other assets with a total value of approximately $310,000. Investigators noted that it would have been impossible to purchase this property with her official income.

In accordance with Ukrainian law, officials did not disclose the suspect's name. However, they indicated that the person in question had served as the former ambassador to the United States.

Olga Stefanishyna, on her Facebook page, denied the accusations and stated that she had nothing to hide.

Stefanishyna was dismissed from her ambassadorial post by President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier this week. Her resignation came amid the latest reshuffle in the Ukrainian government. Previously, the country's prime minister and defense minister had also left their positions.
