On August 7, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the United States of America Donald Trump. The presidential press service reported this.

 

At the beginning of the conversation, the leader of Uzbekistan once again congratulated Donald Trump on the 250th anniversary of US independence.

 

President Trump, in turn, noted that Uzbek-American relations have reached an unprecedented level and that close, trust-based dialogue has been established between the leaders of the two countries.

 

It was noted with satisfaction that all agreements reached at the highest level are being consistently implemented, and prospects for further development of strategic partnership relations were considered.

 

High appreciation was given to the rapid pace of bilateral dialogue and exchanges covering almost all areas of mutual cooperation.

 

The three-year economic cooperation program is being consistently implemented. The first meeting of the American–Uzbek Business and Investment Council was held. Cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and American states is expanding. The introduction of a visa-free regime for US citizens is serving to intensify business ties.

 

Joint projects are being implemented in civil aviation, automotive industry, mining, infrastructure, energy, metallurgy, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and other sectors.

 

As issues of international importance were discussed, it was emphasized that it is important to continue efforts to ensure global security and peacefully resolve international and regional conflicts.

 

The leaders also reviewed the plan for upcoming bilateral and multilateral events. At the end of the conversation, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited President Donald Trump to visit Uzbekistan with an official visit at a time convenient for him.
