Bakhtiyor Inoqov appointed as head of the Internal Affairs Department of Surkhandarya region

Lieutenant Colonel Bakhtiyor Inoqov has been appointed as the head of the Surkhandarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs. This was announced at an extraordinary session of the Surkhandarya Regional Council of People's Deputies.
The session was attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov, the regional governor Ulugbek Qosimov, members of the Council of People's Deputies, heads of relevant agencies, officials from partner organizations, community activists from cities and districts, as well as leaders of law enforcement bodies.
Within the framework of the organizational matter, it was reported that, in accordance with the relevant order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Bakhtiyor Inoqov, a graduate of the master's program at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has been appointed as the head of the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
At the session, the criminogenic situation in Surkhandarya, the work being carried out to curb crime, and existing problems were analyzed. Tasks aimed at creating a safe environment in neighborhoods and strengthening preventive efforts were also discussed.
It was noted that during the reporting period of this year, no crimes were committed in 528 of the 723 neighborhoods in the region, that is, in 73 percent. The number of crimes detected on the initiative of officers has also improved by 40 percent.
However, the fact that 28 neighborhoods in the region remain in the "red" category was criticized. It was emphasized that the factors causing crime in these areas need to be identified and eliminated in a targeted manner.
The newly appointed leader was tasked with increasing the effectiveness of the fight against crime, ensuring safety in every neighborhood, establishing close communication with the population, and thoroughly studying and finding solutions to problems arising from citizens' appeals.
Additionally, instructions were given to strengthen citizens' trust in internal affairs bodies and to improve the effectiveness of district and city Internal Affairs Department leaders' work at the neighborhood level.
At the end of the session, next steps were outlined aimed at strengthening peace in the region, maintaining public order, and ensuring the safety of the population.
On August 21, Timur Kamalitdinovich Ismoilov was appointed to the position of First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan — Head of the Public Security Department, and was released from the position of head of the Surkhandarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
