A driver of a Malibu-2 without license plates was detained on the Tashkent Ring Road after disobeying the traffic police officers' stop signal and continuing to drive. This was reported by the information service of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department announced.
It was reported that the car drew the attention of traffic police officers while moving from the Uchkahramon side towards the Hasanboy area. It was found that the car had no license plates, the front side windows were illegally tinted, and an additional antenna was installed on the rear.
Traffic police officers gave the driver a stop signal. However, he disobeyed the lawful requirement, sharply turned the car around, and attempted to flee.
As a result of the measures taken, the driver and the vehicle were detained. An administrative report was filed against the driver, and the Malibu-2 was placed in an impound lot for temporary storage.
After a video related to the incident spread on social networks, a person who introduced himself as the driver's father contacted one of the users who had published the video. In the leaked audio recording, the man said that he "cannot even resolve the matter with money," that they intend to deprive his son of his driver's license, and asked for the video to be deleted. After the user refused the request, the man used offensive words towards him and threatened to come to his address.
It was announced that appropriate measures have been taken regarding the situation.
