For entrepreneurs planning to start a business in Tashkent city, the collateral-free credit limit will be increased from 100 million soums to 200 million soums. This was announced at a video conference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

At the meeting, the necessity of developing small business and the service sector in neighborhoods and effectively utilizing new opportunities for entrepreneurs was emphasized.

Additionally, the task was set to expand opportunities for adapting the first floors of multi-apartment buildings for trade and service activities.

In Olmazor district, utilizing these opportunities, it is planned to support 300 new entrepreneurs and create 1,000 jobs within this year alone. The task was set to expand this experience to other districts of the capital as well and provide 20,000 residents with gainful employment by the end of the year.

At the meeting, the potential of the 305-hectare industrial zone in the territory of Miskin and Ibrohim ota neighborhoods was also reviewed. Currently, 504 business entities operate here. It was noted that since most of them are located in one- or two-story buildings, the economic potential of the area is not being fully utilized.

There is an opportunity to increase the number of jobs in the industrial zone from the current 35,000 to 100,000, and the export volume to up to 600 million dollars.

To this end, it was determined to offer entrepreneurs financial instruments such as industrial mortgages, credits, and leasing, as well as to launch new projects that create high added value in the industrial area.
