Artificial intelligence will monitor attendance: a new system is being tested in 26 schools in Tashkent

A meeting was held at the Situation Center of the Tashkent City Hokimiyat dedicated to the issues of monitoring attendance in the capital's schools and timely identification of absenteeism cases. At the meeting, the operating mechanism of the "SI Davomat" system and the results of the pilot in Sergeli district were discussed.

Through the system, if a student misses a lesson without a valid reason, an SMS notification is sent to their parents. This information is also automatically delivered to the school principal, the prevention inspector, a National Guard officer, and neighborhood representatives.

The capabilities of "SI Davomat" are not limited to recording attendance alone. Through speech analysis modules in the system, it is planned to analyze indicators such as students' activity and interest in the lesson, as well as the teacher's teaching skills and the quality of the lesson.

This data will be studied and evaluated by methodologists. Based on the analysis results, it is planned to introduce mechanisms for improving the quality of education, as well as incentivizing teachers and students or applying appropriate measures.

Currently, the system is being piloted in 26 schools in Sergeli district. A total of 446 smart cameras have been installed in these schools.

"SI Davomat" is integrated with the "ERP Maktab" and the Ministry of Health's DMED systems. This creates the ability to distinguish between a student's absence due to illness and unexcused absenteeism.

Additionally, schools are categorized as "green," "yellow," and "red" based on attendance indicators.

Based on the results of the pilot in Sergeli district, it is planned to gradually introduce the "SI Davomat" system in other general education schools in Tashkent city.
