President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the "New Uzbekistan" residential complex under construction in Jarqo'rg'on district.
Work is consistently continuing in the country to create decent living conditions for the population, build modern and comfortable housing, and comprehensively develop territories. In accordance with the decree of the Head of State dated October 12, 2021, large-scale measures aimed at constructing "New Uzbekistan" residential complexes and accelerating the socio-economic development of territories are being implemented.
Based on modern urban planning requirements, this complex is being built by developing a desert area. On its total area of 50 hectares, the construction of 116 multi-story buildings is planned. To date, a polyclinic, a preschool educational institution for 180 children, a school for 330 students, and a neighborhood center have been commissioned in the area. Nearly 1,500 families have moved into 68 multi-story buildings.
Furthermore, an information technology and foreign languages learning center has been launched in the complex area, and 7 micro-centers as well as 5 trade and consumer service facilities have been established. Engineering and communication infrastructure is also being developed step by step: drinking water and heating networks have been laid, nearly 3 kilometers of gas pipeline have been installed, and a 250-kilowatt transformer has been set up. As part of landscaping, ornamental and fruit trees have been planted on an area of 4.5 hectares, and saxaul plants have been planted on 300 hectares of desert land.
In the future, the construction of nearly 50 more multi-story buildings is envisaged in the complex. In particular, this year it is planned to build an additional 14 buildings, i.e., 280 apartments, new roads, carry out extensive landscaping works, and establish a recreation park.
During the visit, the Head of State also familiarized himself with the activities of the "New Youth" management service company operating in the area. This company serves 161 multi-story buildings in the district, 54 of which are located precisely in this complex. The installation of solar panels with a capacity of 5–15 kilowatts on the roofs of multi-story buildings is contributing to energy savings.
The President also reviewed the conditions created at School No. 66 in the complex. Over 500 students study at the school, and necessary opportunities have been created for children with disabilities based on inclusive education principles. Modern approaches have been introduced into the educational process, with nearly 50 specialists and teachers working. Classrooms, corridors, a gym, dining and treatment rooms are equipped according to modern requirements.
The Head of State particularly emphasized the importance of developing artificial intelligence and digitalization directions in the education system, noting that preparing students for future professions is of paramount importance.
After that, he familiarized himself with the activities of the foreign languages and information technologies learning center. Built at a cost of 6.5 billion soums, this 400-seat complex provides ample opportunities for over 2,000 young people annually to receive education and work on innovative projects. Hundreds of students at the center have gained knowledge in computer literacy, "front-end" programming directions and received certificates, while many young people have achieved high results in international IELTS exams.
