Iran will hold a meeting within 24 hours to elect a new supreme leader.
Mojtaba Khamenei is being mentioned as the main candidate.

The Fars news agency, citing council member ayatollah Hossein Mozaffari, reported that Iran's Assembly of Experts will hold its next meeting within 24 hours to discuss appointing the country's new Supreme Leader.
Mozaffari emphasized that the council members are eagerly awaiting the meeting and the process of selecting the new Supreme Leader. "We hope this will happen within the next 24 hours," he said. At the same time, the Assembly of Experts has not yet held an official meeting and called on the public not to spread false information about the selection of a new leader.
It should be recalled that on February 28, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran. The residence of the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who sustained legally serious injuries, was also attacked.
Currently, both Iranian and Western media are pointing to Ali Khamenei's 56-year-old son, Mojtaba Khamenei, as the main candidate for the new Supreme Leader. Although he has not held an official position, he is considered one of the most influential figures in the country over the past 20 years.
