Iran has selected a new Supreme Leader, but it has not been announced to the public.
Although the decision is clear, the responsibility for announcing it lies with the Council Secretary.

The Mehr News Agency reported that Iran's Assembly of Experts, which is responsible for appointing the Supreme Leader, has concluded the selection process and identified the new leader.
Assembly member Ahmad Alamolhoda stated:
"The leader has been elected and identified. Rumors that the Assembly of Experts has not made a decision are completely false. Now, announcing the decision to the public depends on the Assembly's secretary, Ayatollah Hosseini Boushehri."
The Assembly of Experts consists of 88 cleric-jurists. They carried out the task of selecting a new leader on February 28th to replace Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed as a result of US and Israeli strikes.
Iran's selection of a new Supreme Leader is considered important from the perspective of the country's steadfast stance against American and Israeli aggression.
According to information, one of the main candidates for the position of Supreme Leader is Ali Khamenei's 56-year-old son, Mojtaba Khamenei.
