UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced that the country is in a "state of war" against the backdrop of tensions with Iran. His statement was published on March 7 by the Emirati state media.
The head of state expressed gratitude to the country's armed forces, emphasizing that they are playing a crucial role in ensuring national security in this difficult situation.
"We are in a state of war. This situation has been imposed upon us. We are acting to defend ourselves, our families, and our country," said the president.
He also highly praised the contribution of foreign citizens living in the country to the development of society.
Earlier, on the evening of March 7, reports emerged of a drone strike on the Marina Tower residential building in Dubai. Officials have not yet provided detailed comments on the incident.
According to reports, one person was killed in Dubai's Al Barsha district when fragments of an object intercepted by air defense fell onto a car.
