More than 21,000 citizens of Uzbekistan have been returned to their homeland from the Middle East — TIV

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, as reported, as of the morning of March 9, a total of 21,712 citizens of Uzbekistan have been safely returned from the Middle East region.

 

Specifically:

 

Saudi Arabia – 17,963 people;

 

United Arab Emirates (UAE) – 3,290 people;

 

Qatar – 378 people;

 

Iran – 47 people;

 

Bahrain – 27 people;

 

Oman – 7 people.

 

The MFA emphasizes that the repatriation of compatriots is being carried out systematically and in stages. Currently, evacuation is primarily being carried out from countries with open airspace, and all necessary consular assistance is being provided.
