As of the morning of March 10, the number of citizens repatriated to Uzbekistan from Middle Eastern countries has reached 25,047. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

 

It is reported that the evacuation of compatriots is being carried out systematically and in stages, covering six countries in the region.

 

The majority of the repatriated citizens are from Saudi Arabia, with over 21,000 Uzbek nationals brought home from this country. Furthermore, over 3,500 citizens have been repatriated to Uzbekistan from the United Arab Emirates.

 

In addition, special flights have been organized to bring Uzbek nationals from the territories of Qatar, Iran, Bahrain, and Oman.

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the evacuation operations are primarily being carried out through countries whose airspace is open to civil aviation.
