From April 1st, drivers' penalty points will also be calculated through cameras.
Additionally, a new mechanism for distributing penalty points is being introduced.

Starting from April 1, 2026, penalty points for traffic violations will also be calculated for cases detected through automated photo and video recording systems. This was announced in the relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the new procedure, cases of traffic rule violations will now affect penalty points not only when recorded by Road Safety (YHH) officers but also when recorded by camera systems installed on the roads. This is aimed at increasing driver responsibility and reducing violations.
Furthermore, based on the new rule, a mechanism for distributing penalty points is being introduced. If a vehicle was driven not by its owner but by another person based on a power of attorney, insurance policy, or waybill, the penalty points will be assigned specifically to the driver who committed the violation.
These changes serve to strengthen discipline on the roads, ensure fair accountability, and reduce the number of violations.
