Reports about a woman killed after fleeing from her husband in Navoi have been denied.
A blogger who contributed to the spread of false information was fined 20.6 million soums.

False information about a woman who fled from her husband in Navoi region has been refuted. Unfounded reports appeared on social networks claiming the woman had been attacked by her husband. However, investigations conducted by the Navoi Regional DIA revealed that the woman is alive and the incident was actually different, as confirmed.
According to the press service of the Regional DIA, a blogger named Amirxon posted a video on his Instagram page about the woman fleeing from her husband without verification, leading to the spread of baseless information.
The woman's husband described the incident as follows: "On the night of March 18, we were driving when a family argument occurred. My wife got out of the car, I ran after her, I did not hit her or cause any bodily harm. A blogger simply recorded us on video and posted it on social networks."
The wife also confirmed that the incident happened this way and requested not to believe any information appearing on social networks and not to spread messages that harm someone's family or reputation.
The blogger admitted that he believed the report of the woman's death based on calls to the phone number listed on his profile. He stated that he will not disseminate unverified information in the future and apologized to everyone for his actions.
According to the court's decision, the blogger was fined 50 times the BCA (20.6 million soums) under Part 1 of Article 202² of the Administrative Responsibility Code.
The couple was fined 3 times the BCA (1 million 226 thousand soums) for disturbing public order.
