The winners of the 2026 first season of the "Initiative Budget" have been announced.
During the process, 21,049 initiatives were received from citizens, of which 17,424 passed the selection stage.

The voting for the first season of the Participatory Budget in Uzbekistan for 2026 has been completed.
It is reported that over 10 million 284 thousand votes were cast for the projects. During the process, 21,049 initiatives were submitted by citizens, of which 17,424 passed the selection stage.
According to the voting results, 1,996 projects were declared winners. Over 3 trillion 5 billion 827 million soums are planned to be allocated for their implementation.
Among the winning projects, the largest share goes to the repair of internal roads — 868 projects. Furthermore, 566 projects for the repair and development of the material-technical base of schools, and 163 projects for the repair and equipping of healthcare facilities were also winners.
It was noted that in some regions that gathered the most votes, the population celebrated the victory in a festive spirit, with music, dance, and concert programs organized.
For reference, the voting process lasted from March 11 to March 20. Within the framework of this project, citizens have the opportunity to directly participate in the distribution of a portion of local budget funds.
