20 citizens of Uzbekistan deported for violating migration laws arrived at Tashkent International Airport via a charter flight from Sweden. The "Dunyo" news agency reported this.
It was reported that the return of the citizens was the result of coordinated cooperation between the authorized bodies of Uzbekistan and Sweden. Within the framework of bilateral cooperation, all organizational and legal procedures, including the identification of citizens, document processing, and ensuring safe transportation, were promptly agreed upon.
"Uzbekistan continues to maintain relations with foreign partners on migration issues, including preventing violations of migration legislation and protecting the rights of Uzbek citizens abroad," the report states.
Earlier, on May 1, 26 citizens deported from the USA to Uzbekistan were returned. A woman who had lived illegally in Pakistan for 21 years was brought back to her homeland on May 2 with the help of diplomats from the Uzbek embassy.
