The meeting discussed issues of expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in trade-economic, transport, energy, and humanitarian spheres.

On March 31, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yermek Kosherbayev, who is on an official visit to our country.
At the beginning of the conversation, the high-ranking guest conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the head of state.
The pressing issues of further strengthening the relations of close friendship, strategic partnership, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were discussed.
The active cooperation being carried out at the levels of parliaments, governments, regions, and business circles was noted with great satisfaction.
As emphasized, the joint Intergovernmental Commission is operating effectively. The volume of trade is steadily growing, and cooperative ties in the fields of industry, energy, transport, ecology, and water use are consistently expanding.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to accelerating economic projects, establishing cooperation in the rare metals sector, further increasing tourist flows, and expanding programs for humanitarian exchange, including in the fields of space and the creative economy.
The importance of thorough preparation of the agenda for future bilateral and multilateral events was stressed. Views were also exchanged on issues of international and regional politics.
