One person was killed as a result of a stabbing in Yangiyol city, Tashkent region. This was reported by the city internal affairs department's duty unit.

 

It is reported that on April 11, 2026, at approximately 20:20, a dispute arose between two young men at the entrance of a barbershop located on Samarkand Street in the "Qovunchitepa" neighborhood.

 

During the dispute, the suspect struck the victim once in the chest area with a sharp knife he was carrying. As a result of the injuries sustained, the victim died while being taken to the hospital.

 

According to the forensic examination conclusion, the victim's death was caused by an injury to the chest cavity and damage to the heart area.

 

The city prosecutor's office and the leadership of the Internal Affairs Department, as well as members of the investigative-operational group, arrived at the scene and preliminary investigative actions were taken regarding the incident.

 

It was established that the deceased was born in 1999, was married, and was the father of two children. He was engaged in barbering.

 

The suspect was born in 2006, had a previous criminal record, and was temporarily unemployed.

 

Regarding this incident, on April 12, 2026, a criminal case was initiated against the suspect under Part 1 of Article 97 of the Criminal Code, and he was taken into custody.

 

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
