Trump lied seven times in one hour — Iranian parliament speaker
Ghalibaf stated that if the US blockade continues, the Strait of Hormuz "will not remain open."

In the latest negotiations between the US and Islamabad, the head of the Iranian delegation, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stated on social media platform X that Donald Trump's statements were false, as reported by the BBC.
"The US President made 7 claims within an hour, and all of them were false. They did not win the war, and with these lies, they will not achieve anything in the negotiations either," Ghalibaf added.
Speaking about the Strait of Hormuz, he emphasized that if the US blockade continues, the strait "will not remain open."
Ghalibaf also reiterated the views previously expressed by Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ismail Baghaei. According to Baghaei, whether the strait is open or closed and the procedures applied there are determined in practice, not on social media.
The statements by Ghalibaf and Baghaei came after a post by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on social media platform X. Araghchi had written that all commercial vessels could pass through the Strait of Hormuz for the remainder of the peace period.
This statement by Araghchi faced criticism from some domestic media and conservative circles in Iran, who demanded an explanation from him.
"The information war and shaping public opinion is an important part of the war, but such methods do not affect the Iranian people," said Ghalibaf.
