Nearly 10 tons of Nestle products were recalled in Armenia.
According to the company, this was done as a precautionary measure.

In Armenia, 9.7 tons of Nestle baby food under the NAN brand were deemed dangerous and destroyed. The "News" publication reported this, citing the republic's Food Safety Inspection, as reported.
Nestle company stated that measures to voluntarily recall certain batches of infant formula in the Republic of Armenia have been completed.
"This process was carried out by the company as a precautionary measure. The destruction of the recalled product is one of the standard final procedures carried out in cooperation with the regulator in the relevant markets, and it is not related to any additional laboratory tests being conducted," the official statement said.
Earlier, in January 2026, Nestle voluntarily recalled from the market in Russia a batch of certain dry milk and therapeutic formulas intended for children. This decision was explained by the possibility of cereulide toxin being present in raw materials from an external supplier.
According to the company, the amount of this component was very small, and the risk was of a potential nature. The product recall was carried out as part of a global risk mitigation policy.
Additionally, rat poison was also found in "HiPP" baby food. It was stated that the poison was detected in damaged packaging. The manufacturer of this food indicated that this situation was blackmail.
