A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Center and the Academy of Justice.

Within the framework of the Memorandum, scientific and practical cooperation on human rights in the judicial system will be strengthened.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Center and the Academy of Justice.

On April 30, a ceremony for signing a memorandum of mutual cooperation between the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights and the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place. It was attended by professors, teachers, and students of the Academy of Justice, as well as employees and doctoral students of the National Center.

 

 

Opening the event, the Director of the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights, Academician Akmal Saidov, briefly outlined the goals and objectives of signing this Memorandum.

 

 

It was emphasized that the main goal is to establish close cooperation, particularly in developing educational programs, teaching-methodological and normative materials of the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in conducting fundamental, practical, and innovative research on human rights protection in the activities of a new generation of judges and judicial system employees, and in developing scientifically based conclusions and recommendations for improving legislation and law enforcement practice.  

 

 

Issues such as introducing a system for teaching the educational modules "Human Rights," "Women's Rights," "Children's Rights," and "International Standards on Human Rights in the Activities of Internal Affairs Bodies" in the courses of the Academy of Justice, and widely implementing modern pedagogical and information-communication technologies, distance learning, interactive and problem-based teaching and training methods in the educational process were also discussed.

 

 

The Memorandum was signed by the Director of the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights, Akmal Saidov, and the Rector of the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Abdukodirov.

 

 

Within the framework of the event, mutual opinions were also exchanged regarding the implementation of tasks set out in the National Program for Developing and Supporting Reading Culture for 2020-2025 of the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Human Rights. Attention was drawn to the particular importance of further developing the activities of libraries in this regard.

 

 

At the conclusion of the dialogue, over 190 legal publications and manuals published by the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights were presented for the library collection of the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

 

The event was attended and addressed by Murod Turgunov, Director of the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
