The US costs in the war with Iran could exceed $25 billion.
It is said that these figures provided by the Pentagon are "far from the truth."

Repairing the damage inflicted on US military bases in the Middle East could increase war costs by billions of dollars. Several sources who spoke with CNN reported this.
According to an initial estimate presented to Congress by a Pentagon representative, the cost of military operations related to Iran was estimated at $25 billion. However, sources say this figure does not include the costs of repairing serious damage to US military bases, and the actual sum could be much higher.
According to information, at least nine US military facilities were damaged as a result of strikes carried out by Iran in the early stages of the war. Bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar are among them.
Additionally, a number of critical military systems in the Middle East, including radar complexes and technical infrastructure, have been rendered inoperable. In some cases, THAAD anti-aircraft systems and military aircraft were also damaged or destroyed.
In his speech to Congress, Pentagon official Jay Harst stated that the majority of the $25 billion cost was spent on ammunition and operational needs. However, he acknowledged that a final estimate for restoring overseas military bases is not yet available.
The leadership of the US Department of Defense also announced that the costs of compensating for the damage have not yet been included in a specific budget, as restoration plans are still being developed.
Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna assessed the announced $25 billion figure as "not reflecting reality." According to him, Congress was previously informed that billions of dollars in costs had already been incurred in the early days of the war. Earlier, The Atlantic also reported that the Pentagon was providing Donald Trump with incorrect information regarding this war, and that J.D. Vance was concerned about the dwindling weapons stockpile.
According to the Pentagon's internal calculations, hundreds of billions of additional dollars may be required to continue the war. At the same time, the US Department of Defense has put forward a $1.5 trillion budget request for 2027, which represents a significant increase compared to the previous period.
Officials emphasize that some restoration costs may also be covered by US allied nations, but the final calculation has not yet been determined.
