In Turkey, life imprisonment has been requested for individuals accused of killing two Uzbek women.

The investigation into the criminal case regarding the brutal murder of Sayyora Ergashaliyeva and Durdona Hakimova in Istanbul, Turkey, has been concluded. DHA reported on this.

The prosecutor's office demanded aggravated life imprisonment for the suspects in the murder, citizens of Uzbekistan — 31-year-old Dilshod Turdimurotov and 29-year-old G'ofurjon Kamolxo'jayev.

According to the investigation materials, the events occurred in January 2026 in a rented house in the Umraniye district of Istanbul.

32-year-old Sayyora Ergashaliyeva came from Uzbekistan to Turkey in December 2025 for work purposes. After January 23, her relatives were unable to contact her. A day later, the dismembered body of another Uzbek woman, Durdona Hakimova, was found in a garbage container in the Sisli district of Istanbul.

During the examination of surveillance cameras, the police determined that Sayyora had entered the house where Durdona lived, and shortly after, Dilshod Turdimurotov and G'ofurjon Kamolxo'jayev also entered the house. Footage taken the next day showed the suspects leaving the house several times with black garbage bags and later taking out a white suitcase.

According to investigators, the suspects took a taxi to the Fatih district and disposed of the body parts in various garbage containers. After that, they headed towards the Yenikapi Marmaray station.

During the interrogation, it became known that Sayyora Ergashaliyeva had also been killed before the murder of Durdona Hakimova. According to the suspects' statements, they first killed Sayyora with a knife and then dismembered the body.

G'ofurjon Kamolxo'jayev stated in his testimony during the investigation that the murder was premeditated. According to him, they decided to kill Sayyora and Durdona because of an "honor issue."

He said that a quarrel arose between them because Sayyora Ergashaliyeva insulted his mother. Kamolxo'jayev stated that it was precisely because of this conflict that he, together with Dilshod Turdimurotov, premeditated the murder. At the same time, the investigation materials noted that there were also conflicts between them over money and personal relationships.

According to Kamolxo'jayev, only Sayyora was at home on the day of the incident. After a quarrel broke out with her, Dilshod Turdimurotov stabbed Sayyora several times. The woman died at the scene.

According to the investigation materials, the suspects initially planned to leave the body in the house. However, because other people were expected to arrive at the house, they decided to dismember the corpse. The body parts were placed in black bags and later thrown into garbage containers in various areas of Istanbul.

It was also determined during the investigation that Durdona Hakimova was summoned to a meeting via a message sent from Sayyora Ergashaliyeva's phone.

According to the indictment, the suspects later also killed Durdona and dismembered her body.

Dilshod Turdimurotov stated in his testimony that he did not directly commit the murder. He said that when he entered the room, Sayyora was already lying covered in blood, and G'ofurjon had a knife in his hand. He also stated that he was under the influence of narcotic substances at the time of the incident.

According to investigation data, the two suspects met through groups of Uzbeks on social networks and were involved in the trade of clothing and perfume for some time.

The Turkish prosecutor's office applied the articles of "intentional brutal murder" and "theft by taking advantage of the victim's death" against them. If the indictment is approved by the court, the suspects will be tried in the Istanbul Anatolian Heavy Penal Court.

The body of Sayyora Ergashaliyeva has not yet been found.
