On May 18, within the framework of the World Urbanization Forum, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), Anacláudia Rossbach.

 

 

According to a report from the President's press service, the prospects for expanding cooperation in the sustainable development of cities, improving urban infrastructure, and introducing modern approaches in the field of urban planning were discussed.

 

 

The implementation of agreements reached at last year's meeting held within the framework of the Samarkand Climate Forum was also reviewed. The importance of further expanding cooperation, including preparing a joint "roadmap," promoting relevant projects, and expanding ties between experts, was emphasized.

 

Views were also exchanged on issues related to the implementation of initiatives put forward by the President of Uzbekistan at the World Urbanization Forum.
